| Can an Elephant be Evil? | ||||
| Perhaps the best bit of news I have read in the past year involved the death of an elephant in India. For those who don't deliriously follow all the strange news stories top appear on your RSS feed, I will summise it for you. An elephant, named Osama bin Laden, who had trampled to death 14 people in six months, was cornered in a tea grove and shot to death. Now this raises many interesting questions. For instance it does mention the fact that the elephant was given the name Osama bin Laden by villagers in Assam. But this immediately makes the inquiring mind think it through. Was the elephant named Osama Bin Laden before he had killed anyone? If so, was Osama bin Laden (the elephant) merely trying to live up to his murderous name? Was Osama bin Laden (the terrorist) named after the elephant? At what stage in his killing spree did Osama bin Laden (the elephant) acquire the name Osama bin Laden? May have any subsequent killings been cecause of his disatisfaction with being compared to Osama bin Laden (the terrorist)? At any stage, did Osama bin Laden (the elephant) profess his loyalty to Osama bin Laden (the terrorist) and his al-Queda network? Had Osama bin Laden (the elephant) expressed any other contentious political beliefs? Was the CIA involved in the targetted killing of Osama bin Laden (the elephant)? Has this affected the hunt for Osama bin Laden (the terrorist)? All these questions and more, running through my mind. God help us. What if these jihadi elephants are released into the streets of Britain? Back |
